Here's everything you need to know about maps, services, and supplies before you head into California's largest state vehicular recreation area.

With 85,000 acres of open desert and cell coverage that disappears the moment you leave Highway 78, proper navigation isn't optional—it's essential. The good news: free maps are available at the Discovery Center, and several excellent GPS apps work offline after you download the area in advance.
